Throughout 2018, Sum Journal had the privilege of reading, experiencing, and celebrating the artistic expressions of contributors from around the world. The Sum editors were proud and humbled to be trusted with the creative labors of so many wonderful minds.
It is with heavy consideration, and as a last resort, that we must temporarily pull the shutter Sum Journal. While the passion and mission lives on, unfortunately the resources cannot support the continuity of the journal. While we deliberate on ways that can keep Sum sustainable in the future, for the time being the website and social media channels will not be actively operated.
To our contributors, we are profoundly impacted by your creations. To our audience, we are touched that people were receptive of our tiny literary journal and the art we uplifted. Sum Journal has been an enriching experience for everyone involved with the publication, and we hope to have reciprocated with some goodness, some human connection, and some masterful artistry.
We respect the work of our contributors endlessly, and intend to handle it with all grace and dignity during this time of transition.
