Established in 2018, Sum was born during a telephone call between two individuals, who were tired of the academic jargon spearheading intelligent conversations. They wanted to see accessible and creative theoretical narratives, able to resonate with the realities of lived experiences.

 

Sum was created as an antidote to the long divide between scholarly theory and creative expression, aiming to challenge traditional discourses of knowledge in tangible ways. We pride ourselves on offering a creative space for new and emerging talent to explore and share the transformative capacity of the arts.
